It's not really "About Us." It's about me, as I'm the only one here. I'm a retired long-time recreational programmer. I created the Historic Sites: USA app because I wanted it for my own travels. Once I started using it I thought that other historic-minded folks might be able to use it, so I cleaned up its rough edges and put it on the App Store. If you want to contact me, I'm at john@zumsteg.us. I respond to all emails I receive (except the inevitable spam I'll get), and would love to hear about location errors you find, bugs in the App, suggestions for improvements, or just general chit-chat about historic sites.

If you're at a site and see that the location is not right on the map, you can touch the marker to see the callout, touch the callout to see the detail information view and from there send me an email. The email will automatically send me the Reference Number of the site and its actual latitude and longitude from your device's location services. This will let me update the database. I'll release an updated database as often as I can.
