Sorry about the pictures not appearing. An update seems to have gone awry. I'll have it fixed Real Soon Now.

    Settings

Touching the Settings tab at the bottom opens the Settings view. This presents a number of things you can do.

Your Verbtrainer allows you to choose what types of verbforms you want to include in your drills and tests. You can select:
  • What tenses to drill on
  • What verb endings to drill on (for example, in Spanish, you can select to drill on '-ar' verbs only, or any combination of '-ar', '-er', 'ir' verbs
  • What person/Number verbs to drill on. You could, for example, dril on first person singular verb forms
  • Regular or irregular or stem-changing verbforms
  • You can choose any combination of these selection criteria, and your Verbtrainer will then present only verbforms that meet those criteria.

Touch any of the five verb settings rows to expand the row. You'll see all the choices for that particular setting. Touch a setting row to check or uncheck it. Verbtrainer will select verbforms that meet the criteria you've checked.

Here, the only tense checked is "presente" so Verbtrainer will present only present tense verbforms for drill or test.

Touch the Verb Lists button to create and edit verb lists. (Once you've created a verb list, you can select it so that drills select only verbs from that list.) Touching the Verb Lists button brings up this view. To create a new verb list, touch the Create New List button. You'll then see the view below. If you have created verb lists, they will appear in the list, and you can edit them by touching them in the list. You can also delete verb lists here by swiping right-to-left on the list, and then selecting Delete

Add or remove verbs from the list by touching the infinitive. When you're done, save the list with a name of your choice.

Here's a list with three verb infinitives added.

Now save the verb list. On an iPhone, touch Done and then enter a name. On the iPad, touch in the List Name text field and enter a name. Then touch Save. If you use an existing name, Verbtrainer will ask you if you want to overwrite the existing verb list or return to save with a new name.

After creating a verb list, you can use the Select button on the Drill, Test or Auto modes to select that verb list. Touch Select and yoo'll see this view. Touch the verb list you want to use and drills will then use only verb from that list. Tense, ending, type and person/number criteria you've set will still apply, now only to verbs from the list.

After selecting A List from the Select view, you can see that the Drill view shows, in the upper-right hand corner, that you're using the verb list only.'

Auto mode allows you to drill yourself without touching the screen. Verbtrainer will show the Drill for a set amount of time, then automatically show the answer a set amount of time. You can set the two times in the Auto Settings Setting. Touch Auto Settings then use the slider bars to set how long tou want to see the Drill verbform before the answer is shown.

You can set views to have light text on a dark background or dark text on a light background display. Select Palette to set the display mode.

The Display Options settings button gives you options for what is presented on the Drill, Test and Auto mode views.

The Conjugation Setting button allows you to select an infinitive and see the full conjugation for it. A list of infinitives appears. You can filter the infinitives by typing in the search bar at the top; the infinitives list will show only infinitives that start with the letters you enter. For example, if you type an "ab" in the search bar, only infinitives starting with "ab" will appear in the list. This gives you the ability to quicky find a specific infinitive. Touch on an infinitve in the lsit to see the full conjugation.

After seleting "abrasar, the full conjugation will be shown."
